Welcome to Canicula.
In an eastern region of Mexico, sandwiched between the Sierra Madre Oriental mountain range and the Gulf of Mexico, a long-forgotten area is known as Canicula. At the center of the territory lies a now abandoned "ghost-village." At one point a drowsy and rural area, Canicula is now known to be ruled by wild dogs and wolves. Humans haven't ventured into the territory for years, and aren't expected to return anytime soon.
Left to their own devices, the inhabitants of Canicula are the kings of their desert home and rule it with tooth and claw. There are no established packs or rule of hierarchy in this chaotic world; respect is earned through teeth and loyalty forged like steel.
With abandoned ships crashed and rotting on the gulf shore, ghosts loitering in the old Mexican village while their skeletons bake in the heat, excruciatingly hot days, freezing nights, a deadly river, and a treacherous mountain range -
