Amadeus drew in a deep, relieved breath. He had hoped to find water soon on this barren land. He had seen nothing of other wolves since he started his quest to go further north. It had seemed like a good idea at the time and he hoped it would prove its self worthy of the sacrifices that had been required of him. He had eaten not to long ago and the blood of his kill was lingering around him like a bad tast in his mouth. He had been in hope to find liquid, not to drink, but to bathe in. The stench of old blood was begining to gag him.
His gray coat had begun to plaster its self with sweat to his form. Hlooked around and continued his lope down the country-side. The glade had plenty of green and for there to be greenery there must be a water source. He kept himself at a even gate, as he watched his digits one-in-front of the other as in a march. He began to smell around for others. He longed forthe company of his own kind. For about two winters now he had the pleasure of only the caws of birds and the small twitter of squirrels to listen to. He decided to let out a bellow, in hopes of finding someone soon.
Amad tilted his slaten crown back and let the air into his maw as he let a howl, drenched in his lonely state drift forth on the nightly air. He hoped someone would hear his call and soon maybe he would be able to find himself a home where he belonged.
