Russet prowled the uncharted lands, his brown pelt had many spots of sweat. He was panting and his tongue was lolling out of his mouth. He yawned lightly, and looked towards where he was heading. The brute saw a big mountain with stones scatered all along the flat top. Russet strecthed and wiggled his claws in the ground, with a yawn, and layed down. He had been walking for miles and miles. He howled lodly, wondering if a reply would come.

There was a certain air to the lands. Diacus was sure of its past. The stench of bones buried in rubble beneath the crevices and ground underneath “General” Diacus’ paws told him of it. Another battle. Another bloody worthless battle. He let the subject slip away in his mind seeing as the battle was not occurring now and worth his mind. There was no need to continue wondering of a demised pack’s failure. Since Diacus was just starting his own, it would only add doubts about his own pack rather than encouragement. He should have stayed in the packlands, but with his new Delta he could chance to be away and see the outer land’s politics. Though coming to the old craggy mountain would not ask him whether he wanted to ally or wage war. Diacus merely had chanced by the mountain, not really interested in it at all. Though the sight of another of his kind caught his attention. The wolf howling in loneliness he assumed, though it could have attracted the wrong attention if there were any bad folk around. “Hi there!” He said with a pleasant air about him. Of course he always sounded like some seasoned veteran whenever he spoke. Of course that wasn’t a bad thing. No one needed to know that he was actually a seasoned pacifist that just… happened to direct groups of soldier. Nope.

Russet spun around to see another wolf, amung the bones and carcarass of the mountain. He stared at him coldly for a moment, trying to see his personality and where these kinder words were coming from.
"Hello.."[/b] Russet offered the other wolf, a slightly protective sheid was protecting him from invisible truth rays... or whatever... He looked the other in the eye, and spoke once more. "Whom do I have the cursed pleasure of speaking to?"[/i] Russet asked him, expression left his eyes, like a stone, which has no expression..

Ooc: The rules require at least 150 words per post. Thoughts are always nice interesting tidbits to add.
“Whom do I have the cursed pleasure of speaking to? Diacus chuckled at such dialect. He never understood what the words meant in such order, but he knew that basically he was being asked for his name. “I’m called Alpha Diacus. May I also have the cursed pleasure of knowing you name? Diacus was humored and let out a hearty laugh. He hoped this wolf didn’t take it too blatantly. On second thought, by the way the wolf looked, a bit uptight, Diacus shouldn’t have been joking so early. His grin hid for a moment as he cleared his throat, hoping the wolf would take it as a joke. No stress if he didn’t. Diacus could apologize if it went over badly. One little joke couldn’t turn an entire meeting into a feud that would last for the rest of their lives. At least not for Diacus. He pitied his enemies and always hoped for peace. Diacus looked over the wolf briefly and noted his lean features. Maybe he needed a pack? Perhaps he could suggest a small little hunt once he got to know him. It was nice to finally talk to another male however. It kept Diacus’ mind off his deceased mate, and with a pack to take care of, he wasn’t allowed for emotional breakdowns.

Russet's head swiveled in his direction. This wolf wasen't dark, he was to kind to strangers. He shuffled his feat and looked at Diacus with a slightly more better mooded expression. For a moment, he closed his eyes, but instead of thinking up a friendly conversation, memories of his past flooded his brain.
"I'm going to get us some food for dinner tonight, I'll be back later." Mitsuko, Russet's father stalked out of the light lands and into the forbidden forest, where only the brave wolves treaded. Ashen leaf, his mother, watched him leave, but soon fell aspleep. When Ashen Leaf awoke, it had been three hours since father had left. Russet watched, as she stood, and started to pace. Back and fourth, back and fourth. Atlast Russet stood. It's okay, he'll be back soon." Russet tryed to make her feel better, and stood up. He walked towards the forest, not far, and saw Mitsuko's brown coat. "See! He's right there, I told you he'd be right back-" Russet told her, but at that moment, the earth split in half, and Russet watched as his mom was seperated from him, a big crack in between them. The last thing Russet could remember was the pained howl from his father, as he fell in the earth, being crushed by rocks, his bones breaking under the presure. His beautful mother's grey bodice flinging of the cliff, and then silence..
Russet opened his eyes, he was startled, and remembered his encounter with Diacus. He tried to speak, something kind, but a pained yelp came out instead.

Diacus awaited a reply, but instead got a whine instead. The alpha’s ears went back as the whine shocked his ears and ached his heart. What was that? What had Diacus done to the wolf? There was a lot of pain in that whine that came from the wolf before him, and Diacus didn’t like it. It made him uncomfortable and sometimes depressed. It brought back whines in the same pitch from the past to travel from the memories and into the world around him. Madness had once swept through in his wanderings just because of agonized cries of a starving wolf. He couldn’t take the pain. He couldn’t live around it. Diacus began backing away from the wolf. Have I exuded pain? Is this wolf all right? Stepping back, a paw stepped on a rock starling Diacus and making him whip around to check his back. Eyes looking franticly downward and then back at the wolf before him, Diacus tried to keep it together. He hadn’t done anything wrong. He had just asked for this wolf’s name. Why was he backing away? He was an alpha now. A father. He couldn’t just walk away now when pain was before him. With a changed mind, Diacus took a step forward and inquired. “Are you all right?”

Russet looked at the expression on the alphas face. He had scared him. But to be truthfull, the thought that had just occured scared him. "I'm so sorry, Alpha Diacus."[/i] The brute replied to the other. "I'm Russet, I am a wandered, no home, no pack." He told him spitefully.
A cold shiver erupted on the wolf's back, it went through his body like a cold knife, working its sharp bloody blade to the organs. He misssed his mom, she was wonderfull. And his father, wow, some wolf he was. Russet alwys looked up to him. "I'm fine just a.. bad dream.. er, bad thought."[/b] Great now his first immpression on this kind wolf, was that Russet was a damn maniac.
He thought of all the terrible things that happened in his past. He had been wandering for years, since his mother, Ashen Leaf flung herself of the cliff in late july. The earthquake was one he never could dream of.[/color][/sup]

Sighing deeply, Diacus tried to calm his startled nerves. He wondered what was with the wolves who seemed to have these strange visions. Were they sorcerers? Could the see into the future? And if they did, why did they always seem like what they had seen was a bad thing. Diacus didn’t want to think any more of it, so much so that he didn’t want to speak to the wolf. But business first. “I can give you home called Kaika Akegata. If you want to join then head to where the sunrises and you shall be there. If not then… good day…” Alpha Diacus was startled and he was pretty sure he’d feel better by going into the territory. His nerves couldn’t stand to be so startled. Especially with the pain that came with them. He didn’t need it and would not be around it. He had a pack to take care of and he couldn’t be acting so paranoid.
